For years I wrote rhymes puffin’ on some fire sour
Alone spending timeless hours with my higher power
Meditation to listen to God’s thoughts speak
Pulsating with the rhythm of God’s heartbeat
Release the pain and the hatred from the storms you carry
To then begin to see the sacred in the ordinary
Stop seeking perfection cause you’re already chosen
Embrace the infinite mystery that’s in every moment
Reflect on faith to battle your stress
Rest creates more space for balance and breath
Through closure I believe and am able to live
The more that I receive the more I’m able to give
With pure intentions no matter what happens
Nonattached to the outcomes of my actions
Selfish desires I still have to give up
Till I’m ready to live life and let that be enough

Fully invested in the present like there’s no tomorrow
Stray less from the quest to my destiny
Stay blessed and always keep my best days ahead of me

Creating circumstances within us to have what we want

Create space for self to keep a peaceful soul
Others embrace security over the need to grow
Stubborn slouch, revered him as a conspirator
Stuck in doubt from fear of the unfamiliar
Let go of hate and you’ll be so much better
The self holds more weight when you show up centered
Rely on God when you’re in need of protection
Its through compassion that the truth is kept from being a weapon
Study lessons and react to life’s tests as they arrive
What was true at one point in time could then become a lie
So question what you hear on the news how they word it
Updating our beliefs and views to stay current
Life is mans greatest test of uncertain answers
A dance where the rules change with the circumstances
Accept challenges while keeping your poise
Cause God rarely asks us to make the easier choice

Temporary from the time of our birth
We’re all visitors of this body, mind, and the Earth
Breath borrowed to the lungs that Allah chooses
Mortal beings so nothing really belongs to us
Most stress feeling lacking and inferior
Comparatively less to the arrogant and superior
Envious over the possessions of others stuff
Blinded to the abundance that’s right in front of us
Towards a spiritual fulfillment on this blissful path
So always ask and never take without giving back
Substance use to abuse then felt mad at God
As overindulgence can lead to self sabotage
Defeat is limited but victory is endless
Happiness is moderation, misery is excess
Began to see the beauty in the Sun and the stars
As I left greed behind to walk in wonder and awe

Cause fear is doubt and help is having the upper hand
Stand out against what you don’t condone
Allow others lives to be as important as your own
You can’t force someone to believe that there’s a God
To support someone means you gotta meet them where they are
A real man empathizes and suffers
Forgets about self to answer the cries of another
Instead of sticking to tradition and refusing help
We’re only stealing from our children and our future selves
Cause embracing your own talents and skills
Automatically serves the world rather than steals
Cause I’m not capable to fix or save you
I just pray you find strength in the gifts he gave you
As I ask myself at the end of the day
Have I helped uplift or have I taken away
