Christmas Baby

(Verse 1)
Yo every birthday's a reminder of how lonely I am
And unless you're born on this day than you won't understand
But growing up didn't hold nothing against it
Cause certain relatives I'd end up getting double the presents
Especially my parents cause they'd go get the best stuff
Baseball gloves, Lego sets, and Hess trucks
So I made sure I always did good deeds
And wished to be on the nice list on Christmas Eve
So without a doubt I was aware of how tradition goes
And never acted out cause I was scared that I'd be given coal
But been told by most that "God must've blessed you"
Which got to my head a little cause I thought I was special
Like maybe as a Christmas Baby I've been heaven sent
But now I'm older and realize that it's irrelevant
But yet it's relative and lives as my proof
But no matter when or who I'm still no different from you

(Verse 2)
Let's cut the crap Santa only exists
So parents can gain leverage and control of their kids
As an incentive to get them to behave well
With slave elves, reindeer bullies, and sleigh bells
Which we were taught before we hardly hit school
So when we find out we think that God is a myth too
Leading to Atheism manifestation
With a one letter difference between Santa and Satan
With decorations that distract from the cause
Cause Santa's got nothing to do with the actual clause
As they try to pass it off as the spirit of Christmas
But really see their interests and clearly it's business
From an image that man made in the mirror
And largest retail advertising campaign of the year
In Christ's name which they conceal in the worst way
Because supposedly it isn't even his birthday
As different prophecies converge into one
From the rise of the winter solstice to the birth of the Sun
So now we've adopted these Pagan traditions
From Saturnalia mixed with different ways of the Christians
So now we're more likely to ponder on the dollar price
And completely forget to honor and acknowledge Christ
Cause we've been met with too much pressure to withstand and bought it
With family members feeling lesser if they can't afford it
Plus not to mention all the tension on a constant watch
Conscious at get togethers about who got their shots
But still cherish these Christmas nights like this
Beyond blessed cause the gift of life's priceless
Plus even if all this is Pagan preferred
It's a day I'm able to share and celebrate with the world
And take a break from our industrious ways
To spend time with our families if only just for a day
